A Lefty’s Dream

The Bracket Challenge Poison pattern AKA Arsenic…or Mercury (for those at Sky Lanes on Saturday). We had 60 bowlers show up for our monthly no tap event. This is our largest turnout for a Carolinas no tap this season.

Michael Martell won with a 300 game in game 3, and averaging 276 for 5. He outlasted Michael Rachal by only 22 pins…needless to say, the left side was enjoyable for most. We did have 2 more 300 games shot (Dalton O’Neal game 3 and Josh Lewis game 5)

On Sunday, we went back to Sky Lanes for our scratch monthly main event.

It proved to play a little tougher, as they typically do, and spares mattered, as they typically do 🙂

Michael Martell once again led qualifying, but only averaging 227.8 this time. We cut to the top 16, which was Ryan Lane with a 926 5 game set, including his high game of day (223) game 5 to propel him into that last spot.

Our bracket match play saw some good matches, with Michael Rachal ultimately taking his 2nd Bracket Challenge title (both on Arsenic…jus sayin 🙂 )

With 124 bowlers this weekend at Sky, it was our largest Carolinas series stop since we started back in April of 2022. Thank you to everyone who chose to come out and hopefully you will join us May 6th and 7th at Galaxy Lanes in Sylva, NC.
