The Bracket Challenge is two tournaments run on consecutive days each month, in a competitive, yet relaxed environment.
We believe in spare shooting and where striking aint easy. Whether you are a beginner league bowler or have aspirations of becoming a pro, you’ll enjoy the competition our tournaments provide.

Monthly Tournaments
Scratch Tournament
Our Scratch Tournament is The Bracket Challenge main event!
We have the region’s best amateur bowlers, come out and try their hand in a competitive, yet relaxing tournament.
Winner gets a cash a prize, a champions banner, and a discounted entry into our annual Tournament of Champions event.
Bowl 5 games of scratch bowling and then cut the field for bracket style match play finals.
No Tap Tournament
Our No Tap Tournament is a chance for those who don’t feel ready for a Scratch Tournament challenge, but want to try your hand on a sports / PBA pattern.
Each month we host a 9 pin No Tap tournament the day before our scratch tournament. This is a chance to practice on the pattern, have some fun, and win a cash prize too!
Bowl 5 games of 9 pin no tap (where knocking down 9 pins counts as a strike) and the winner is determined by total pinfall for 5 games. We pay 1 in 4 entries, with the first out of cash getting a free entry into the monthly scratch tournament.
Major Tournaments
Bracket Challenge Open
November 4th, 2023 at Western Ave in Knoxville, TN. Bowlers will bowl 4 games of qualifying and then be seeded in a 32 bowler double elimination style bracket.
Blue Coast Burrito Bracket Challenge Playoffs
November 5th, 2023 at Western Ave in Knoxville, TN. Those who have bowled at least 3 events in either series will come together for the Player of the Year crown.
UltraStar BIG Money Saturday
December 2nd at Sky Lanes in Asheville, NC. $2500 guaranteed first place and $1500 guaranteed second place
Bracket Challenge Tournament of Champions
December 3rd at Sky Lanes in Asheville, NC. All past champions since 2017, and those who have bowled at least 5 scratch events this season, are eligible for this tournament.
The Bracket Challenge Program
We run two tours per year, one in East Tennessee and the other in The Carolinas. Each weekend, the center of choice, hosts two events: one is a 9 pin no tap where regardless of average, everyone gets 9 pins. The other is a scratch tournament where the winners earn a banner with their name on it that travels to different centers.
Every entry into the scratch tournament earns Player of the Year points. Both events – each weekend, each month – is run on the same sports / Kegel / PBA pattern that the directors decide on. Both winners earn a berth (not free entry) into our year end Tournament of Champions
